VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Beach Party was a splash and all had great fun! VBS overflowed with fun for the kids. Everyone learned to surf on the turf and surf through God's word, came to know Jesus, and develop new Beach Be- Attitudes: Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold, and Believe! Each lesson was supported with bible stories, science activities, songs, crafts and games.

There was between 120 - 130 children who took part in VBS daily and 80 - 90 youth and adult teaches and helpers. Thank you for the donated snack items, mission items and money.
A BIG thanks to the Eastridge Men's group for the lunches and ice cream they served. Approximately $1.785 was raised. Well done everyone!

Pastors Blog
The year 2007 was filled with opportunity and the enjoyment of our labors. Looking back to a capital campaign that championed the idea of “Building the Future Today” we are enjoying some of the future, today. The McCracken Center offers a beautiful entrance to our facilities and a large space for people to meet and build friendships. The sanctuary graced with a new stained glass window in memory of Gary Welch now offers flexibility and a musical sound that was not present when the front of the sanctuary was carpeted. The sign out on 56th Street given in memory of Jim Van Horn welcomes the Lincoln community to so many events and to worship. And have you simply relaxed and a read a book sitting on the couch in the Moats’ Reading Room? Though we, ourselves, have been blessed in so many ways during 2007, our mission work continues. March Missionary Madness only scratched the surface of the many ways in which the Eastridge family shares the love of God with others. Our “Made to Worship” DVD presenting a five minute view of Eastridge worship, mission, music and Christian education is something that each member can distribute to family and friends inviting them to be a part of the great things taking place at Eastridge.
