2-year olds, 3-year olds and Pre-K meet in their classrooms.
K-7th Grade start in worship with parents and then go to their classrooms later during the service
10:35-11:30 Carnival Games for children and the entire family on the east lawn
11:30-12:00 Sanctuary with Beacon Street
12:00 - Free lunch for every one of all ages -hotdogs, hamburgers, etc.

The Alpha course is a 10-week practical introduction
and review of your Christian faith.
Wednesdays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., beginning September 10th.
Weekend Retreat, Time and Place: TBA.
The class is open to everyone. Please come!
A free will offering will be taken for the Alpha Manual and dinners.
Childcare will be provided.
Each class will begin with a meal and fellowship together. Following the meal, topics will be discussed in small groups. Some of those topics include:
Who is Jesus?
Why did He die for us?
How does God guide us?

Who's Invited: Eastridge members and eastridge neighborhood
The Ice Cream Social will be flavored with a wonderful variety of music.
From 6:00 to 6:30 pm you will be welcomed by the Plain Label Band and their all American Bluegrass style.
At 6:30 the Eastridge’s Contemporary Worship Team will take the stage and grace you with powerful Contemporary Christian songs of today.
Then from 7:15 to 8:00 pm University of Nebraska Brass Quintet will treat you to their talents through many musical genres.
Come experience all the groups! It’ll be a delicious and delightful treat for all ages.

Start reading this summer and join the Eastridge Presbyterian Church Book Group. The first meeting will be September 22 in Huxtable Lounge at 7:00 pm. The reading selection is Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson.

B.Y.O.B. (bring your own bible) in 2009, or we’ll provide one for you! 2009 is the Year of the Bible at Eastridge. The Bible is essential to our faith. It is God’s word to us. It has sustained millions of people throughout their lives. It will be the focus of our congregational life next year.
Yet most of us don’t know the Bible very well and we want to change that for our Eastridge believers in 2009. The Session approved a Year of the Bible program sponsored by the Christian Education Committee. The program is an opportunity and a challenge to read through the entire Bible in one year! We will be providing help, guidance and small group support throughout the year. Any version of the Bible that you prefer is fine, but the small group leaders, adult Sunday School and sermons will use the New Revised Standard Version.
The program will be explained in more detail in the upcoming weeks. The Year of the Bible will require commitment, but the effort will be worth the time. If you want to help us in planning for the program, talk to Pastor J.P. jpcarlson@eastridge.org or 488-7844.
