Adult
There are many opportunities for Adult bible study here at Eastridge.
Try one or a few and enjoy the thought provoking nature of each.
The two studies listed below are the Adult Sunday School class and the Forum Class, focusing on current events. These are ongoing classes with regular topic changes. If someone would prefer being involved in a study that is specifically for men or women, Eastridge has various opportunities for these groups, too. (See the Men and Women pages for a list of current groups.)

Lent Series: "Compassionate Living"
Every year as Holy Week approaches our thoughts turn toward the "passion" or suffering of Christ. Consequently, Gospel stories such as the temptation in the wilderness, the trial of Jesus, and the crucifixion become our focus. But suffering is only a part of the entire Lent picture. Jesus' compassion (literally translated, "suffer with") completes the picture by directing our thoughts toward God's love. Ultimately, Lent teaches that Christ suffers because he loves us.
Beginning March 7th, you are invited to join the Adult Sunday School class as we explore what it means to "suffer with" and "love like" Christ. The guest speakers and schedule are as follows:
March 7
Renita Tyrance (Director of Family Shelter Services, People's City Mission)
March 14
Kim Shirk (Eastridge Presbyterian Church)
March 21
Dennis Rock (Hospital Chaplain - Bryan East)
March 28
Stephen Minister Panel (Eastridge Presbyterian Church)
Please join us as we seek to understand and share Christ's compassion with others.
Can't wait to see you there!
