Schuyler VBS 2009 Report

Every year around spring time, my wife, Mandy, informs me that it's time to plant seeds in the garden.  A few months later, our kitchen counter is overflowing with all sorts of vegetables.  Just like those seeds we planted in our garden, a seed was planted in Schuyler, NE twelve years ago.  And that seed has grown.  This year at Schuyler VBS, we had a total of 160 children registered.  In years past, we have had anywhere from 50-70 show up on the first day.  This year on the first day, there were 110 that showed up.  We had a really special week this year.  None of this would have been possible without the support from the many of you who donated their time, money, gifts, and prayers.  About 40 volunteers from Eastridge gave their hearts and souls to this week.  With all the donations we were able to provide each child a special t-shirt that we autographed.  It was truly a meaningful gift that will be worn for years to come.  From the bottom of my heart and everyone involved with Schuyler VBS, thank you for supporting a wonderful ministry.  If you missed the video shown during church a few weeks ago, please take 5 minutes and view it online on the Eastridge website.  Please prayerfully consider how you can help us make a difference next year!
