Fresh Start

The mission of Fresh Start Home is to ensure the provision of services to women who experience barriers in their lives and to assist restoration of these women to the community. Through offering basic, emergency services (food, clothing, shelter, hygiene items), women are able to reclaim their dignity and begin working on an Individualized Goal Plan. The plan acts as a road map for women to advance to reach the goal of self-sufficiency. Through the attainment of employment, acquisition of life skills, maintenance of sobriety, and exploration of personal strengths, women are able to move beyond basic needs into addressing short-term goals.

The continued success of our program is because of the generous people who support Fresh Start Home and the woman who reside here. Fresh Start Home is very thankful for continual the support we receive from Eastridge Presbyterian Church. In 2008, Eastridge was a major supporter for the Soles for Souls event, both by serving as a drop off site and through the many volunteers who participated.  They were a vital part in making this event a great success. Eastridge Presbyterian Church members also donated time to us, to serve in a leadership capacity; in 2008 four members of our board were from Eastridge. Eastridge Church continues to donate monetarily to Fresh Start Home, so we can continue our mission. 

We hope to continue our relationship with Eastridge Presbyterian in 2009 and beyond. Thank you for all of you work to combat homelessness and support people in need.
