Meals on Wheels

Tabitha Health Care is profoundly grateful for the financial and volunteer support Eastridge Presbyterian members give to Meals on Wheels!  Because of partnerships like yours, Tabitha prepared and Meals on Wheels volunteers delivered 112,000 meals in 2008!  Typically, 320 clients per day rely on Meals on Wheels to enable them to stay in their homes.  Food cost this past year rose to a record $237,316, which was 9.4% over 2007.  The Meals on Wheels operating deficit for 2008 was $145,324.  Meals on Wheels has approximately 800 volunteers who gave 15,719 hours of their time, plus car expenses, to this great program.  Without the gifts of donors and volunteers, Meals on Wheels could not be sustained by Tabitha.  The program is in constant need of two things...more volunteers...and your prayers!  Thank you, Eastridge!
